The presentation will start in the WHS Guidance Department lobby and include information from Guidance Department Head Lynne Medsker about the services and supports at WHS for all students in grades 9 - 12 in the college and career process along with specific information from Ms. Fabiano and Pugliesi about how students with IEP’s are supported in the process of planning for after high school. The Transition Planning Form (TPF) and other Student Services supports will be shared with parents and an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about next steps will be available. The meeting will also include a tour of the home base for the Transition Program which serves students ages 18 - 22 who continue to receive special education services after their traditional senior year. Examples of services and programming for students in this age category will be shared and an opportunity for dialogue and next steps for follow up for more individualized questions will be provided.
